Fast Is Fun!

29er PCC’s - Cascade Locks, Columbia River

The Gorge delivered wind every day we were there for the 29er Pacific Coast Championship.  For six days in a row Charlie McKee and I sailed in well over 20kts of wind.  For all of our prep days we did two sessions each day.  By Sunday afternoon I was ready for another week of sailing!  But I had to return home to San Francisco and get ready for our annual fly fishing trip to Idaho where we will be staying at the Lodge at Palisade’s Creek.
It’s quite a change of pace from the 29er on the Gorge, and I look forward to this trip every year.  Fly fishing and sailing have a lot in common.  It has a lot to do with reading the currents and feeling the air flow over the water so you can place your fly in exactly the right spot.

From Idaho I will fly directly to Long Beach, CA for the 29er Nationals at Cabrillo Beach Yacht Club.  Charlie will be joining me again for our final 29er event on the schedule.  I’m looking forward to some strong wind in Cabrillo!

Thanks for checking in on my site.  Stay tuned for more:)
